On January 12, 2016, Mindless Sound Records, LLC will release Penance, Lyrical Justifier’s solo debut hip hop album. An aspiring artist for 14 years, Lyrical Justifier wrote all the songs on the album. Scroll down to listen to Music Is My Blood, a single from the new album.
Lyrical Justifier
Lyrical Justifier is the artist name of Stephen C. Sebastiao, the United States born son of a Portuguese father and a Brazilian mother. The album features 17 songs and includes the music of DJ SoulBuck (Beat Minerz Radio, DJ for Doodlebug); Gordon Nelson Jr., a former Gloria Gaynor background vocalist; Jamal Coltrane; Richard Reiter, an Emmy Award Winning Composer and sax and woodwind player; as well as several independent vocalists. Brother Noyze The Mad Musician produced the album and designed the album cover.

Alejandro is a Mexican writer whose first feature, Bella, won the People’s Choice Award at the Toronto Film Festival, and brought him the American by Choice Award for its positive contribution to Latino art and culture in the United States. His second feature, Little Boy, was picked up for general release by Open Road and had its debut in theaters nationwide April 2015.
Little Boy, produced by his company, Metanoia Films, tells the story of a boy willing to believe the impossible in order to bring his father back from World War II. Alejandro is developing his next film, The Hidden Ones. It is a dark international thriller about a brilliant killer murders the twelve holiest monks on earth and the young FBI agent who dives dangerously deep into the killer’s demonic world. He and his wife Ali Landry, an actress and former Miss USA, live in Los Angeles with their three children.

At Lily Films, her Mill Valley, California production company, Deborah has made fiction, educational and documentary films. For the last fifteen years, she has focused primarily on films about soil, agriculture and the food system.
Her film, The Future of Food, premiered at Film Forum in New York City. It continues to play widely around the world in theaters and at film, food and farming festivals and conferences and at thousands of community-organized screenings. She has personally taken her film to innovative venues such as Google headquarters, Burning Man arts festival in the desert of Nevada, and shown it to inmates in the gardening program at San Quentin prison.
Symphony of the Soil premiered at the Smithsonian in the spring of 2012 and has been playing at film festivals, conferences, theaters and community screening all around the world since then. In October 2013, The New York Times gave the film a very positive Critic’s Choice review.
She was recently awarded the John de Graaf Environmental Filmmaking Award at the Wild and Scenic Film Festival for her body of films on soil, agriculture and sustainability.
